SAN LORENZO -- The death of a woman found lying in a pool of blood in her driveway over the weekend is being classified as an accident, but the case remained under investigation on Wednesday, the Alameda County Coroner's Office said.
Yeuk Yee Young Lee, 62, of San Lorenzo, was found in the driveway of a home in the 16000 block of Silverleaf Drive early Sunday.
A neighbor spotted Lee on the ground about 2:50 a.m. and called for help, said Sheriff's Office Sgt. J.D. Nelson. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
While there was no doubt Lee had suffered a major injury, at the time Nelson said it wasn't immediately clear how she died or what killed her.
A county Coroner's Bureau spokeswoman said preliminary results from an autopsy indicate her death was an accident, but that the incident remained under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
The Coroner's Bureau spokeswoman would not reveal Lee's exact cause of death as the case was pending.
Following her death, detectives had been looking for witnesses or family members.
