CONCORD -- One man was arrested after an alleged gang fight at a local park Saturday night, police said.

At 6:40 p.m., Concord police received a call of a possible scuffle at Cambridge Park on Monument Boulevard roughly 20 minutes before.

Officers checking the area found a group of men in front of a liquor store, also on Monument Boulevard. Two of the men took off running, police said, and seven others were briefly detained.

Police arrested one of the men who fled on suspicion of resisting arrest. Two other men were subsequently arrested on various charges, though police did not release details on what those were. The other man who fled was not found.

Though reports came in of a gun involved in the fight, no firearm was found and no one was injured.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
