ALBANY -- Occupy the Farm supporters returned to the UC Berkeley-owned Gill Tract on Saturday morning to re-occupy the urban farmland where activists want to grow food for surrounding communities.

The occupation started around 11 a.m. at the plot of land on Monroe and San Pablo avenues. It is unknown how long activists plan on staying. Police kicked them off the grounds last week, and last year they had a prolonged occupation on the land.

On Saturday, university police were on scene to monitor the situation, but as of 6 p.m., no arrests had been made.
