COLMA -- The Colma BART station was closed for about two hours Tuesday after a person died on the tracks after being struck by a train.
Authorities first learned of the incident around 9:05 a.m. and closed the station until about 11:05 a.m. so BART police could investigate, BART spokesman Jim Allison said.
It wasn't clear how the person, whose name and gender were not released, ended up on the tracks, BART spokeswoman Luna Salaver said.
No further information was released about the death.
