A man who was arrested after he was caught trespassing on private property and in possession of burglary tools kicked and damaged the window of a patrol car while he was being brought to jail, police said.

The 42-year-old man is also suspected of carrying methamphetamine when he was arrested about 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of Buena Vista Avenue. A woman, 50, who was with him was cited for trespassing.

Police arrested another man about 30 minutes later in the 1500 block of Park Street on suspicion of public intoxication. But the man, 53, became angry after he was detained and struggled with officers -- including spitting at one of them in the face -- and refused to sign a citation, police said.

TUESDAY, JUNE 18

  • SUSPICIOUS CALL -- Police received a call at 3:40 a.m. from a man saying he was just robbed at Park Street and Lincoln Avenue. But patrol officers who responded to the neighborhood could not locate the caller.

  • IDENTITY THEFT -- Identity theft was reported just before 9 a.m. in the 2000 block of Santa Clara Avenue. Someone opened an account using the victim's personal information.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle was reported stolen about 12:50 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Loop Road.

  • DRUNKEN DRIVING -- A woman, 29, involved in a traffic accident was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving just before 2 a.m. The collision occurred in the 1100 block of Oak Street, where the woman admitted driving the vehicle and failed field sobriety tests, police said.

  • ATTEMPTED PETTY THEFT -- Someone attempted to steal copper wire from an underground power line on West Hornet Avenue at Alameda Point, police said. The attempt was reported about 8 a.m.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle was reported stolen about 8:35 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Loop Road.

  • PETTY THEFT -- A thief entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1400 block of Grove Street and stole a purse. Police learned about the theft at 10:20 a.m.

  • IDENTITY THEFT -- A resident of the 2000 block of Encinal Avenue told police about 11:20 a.m. that someone stole their checks and used them to purchase merchandise. Identity theft was also reported about 3:15 p.m. in the 1000 block of Marianas Lane, where the victim's checking account number was used to cash a counterfeit check.

  • BURGLARY -- A residential burglary was reported at 6:15 p.m. in the 3000 block of Bayview Drive.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A motorcycle was reported stolen about 7:35 a.m. in the 1100 block of Pacific Marina and another vehicle was reported stolen at 8:10 p.m. in the 800 block of Central Avenue.

    FRIDAY, JUNE 21

  • BURGLARY -- A residential burglary was reported just after midnight in the 400 block of Central Avenue. A burglary was also reported about 11:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of Eighth Street, though it was not immediately clear whether any property was stolen, and at about 10:20 p.m. in the 400 block of Neptune Gardens Avenue.

    SATURDAY, JUNE 22

  • BURGLARY -- Someone stole five bicycles from a garage in the 3100 block of El Sereno, police said. The theft was reported about 7:45 a.m. A bicycle was also reported stolen from a garage about 1:40 p.m. in the first block of Bannister Way.

  • BURGLARY -- A burglar who entered an apartment in the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue through an unlocked front door stole a loaded handgun that was on the victim's bed, police said. The theft was reported about 2:40 p.m. A residential burglary was also reported about 9:05 p.m. in the 1700 block of Otis Drive, where the thief fled after tripping an alarm, police said.

    SUNDAY, JUNE 23

  • DRUNKEN DRIVING -- Police arrested a woman, 41, on suspicion of drunken driving about 2:10 a.m. in the 2300 block of Blanding Avenue. Another woman, 24, was arrested an hour later on the same suspicion after a traffic stop at Encinal Avenue and Park Street, police said.

  • BURGLARY -- A burglary was reported at 12:40 p.m. in the 400 block of Yorkshire Road. While someone apparently entered the home, no property was found missing, police said. A residential break-in was also reported about 9:10 p.m. in the 2200 block of Chipman Street, where the burglar fled after realizing someone was home.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- A vehicle was reported stolen about 2:10 p.m. in the 2000 block of Clinton Avenue.

  • WEAPON POSSESSION -- Police arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of violating his parole after officers allegedly found him in possession of a stun gun while investigating a disturbance in the 2300 block of Eagle Avenue. The arrest occurred about 10:30 p.m.

  • MARIJUANA POSSESSION -- A man, 27, who was detained by a patrol officer because he was recognized as someone who could be searched as a condition of probation, was arrested after he was found in possession of marijuana for sale, police said. The man, who was arrested about 11:10 p.m. in the 1500 block of Park Street, was also carrying a scale and a cell phone that contained text messages regarding marijuana sales, police said.
