HAYWARD -- Major injuries are being reported in a solo-vehicle crash that caused one person to be ejected on Highway 92 at the Interstate 880 connector late Friday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 10:12 p.m. after a vehicle of unknown make and model spun out of control as it was traveling eastbound on Highway 92. One person was reportedly trapped inside the vehicle, and one person was ejected, according to a CHP dispatcher.
There was no detailed information immediately available on the nature of injuries to either person.
The connector ramp from eastbound Highway 92 to southbound I-880 has been shut down as crews clear the area. An estimated time of reopening was not available, according to the CHP.
It is unknown what caused the crash.
