OAKLAND -- Police released video and photographs of individuals they believe were responsible for acts of vandalism during last weekend's protests over the acquittal of George Zimmerman.
Although not all images may reveal facial features, the Oakland Police Department's Criminal Investigation Team believes clothing and other identifiable characteristics may help investigators identify, arrest and prosecute those responsible.
Police did not elaborate what type of vandalism the suspects are responsible for, nor did they say where the videos and photographs were taken.
Police ask that when calling or texting in tips regarding the suspects, people should include information such as time and location of the incident, description of activity, presence or use of weapons, identity or description of the suspects, and current suspect location.
Anyone with information can text TIP OAKLANDPD to 888777 from their cell phone or call the department's toll-free tip hotline at 855-TIPS-247 (855-847-7247).
Police also ask that anyone with surveillance video, photos or information about individuals who have committed a crime related to the protests contact Sgt. Clifford Wong at 510-238-3951 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
