CASTRO VALLEY -- Fire crews knocked down a one-alarm blaze burning inside a Castro Valley home Monday night, a fire dispatcher said.

The fire broke out about 6:20 p.m. at a single-story home in the 18100 block of Redwood Road, an Alameda County Fire dispatcher said. The fire was knocked down by 6:30 p.m.

It was not immediately known where the fire originated, nor how much damage it caused, the fire dispatcher said. No injuries were reported in the blaze.
