SAN LORENZO -- A 33-year-old man found fatally shot along a residential street in unincorporated Alameda County last week has been identified as Gary Maes.

Maes was shot multiple times just after midnight on Aug. 14, in the 18000 block of Robscott Avenue, said Alameda County Sheriff's Office spokesman J.D. Nelson.

Neither a suspect nor motive was known on Wednesday and Nelson said the fatal shooting remains under investigation.

Several residents said they dialed 911 after hearing gunshots near Hacienda Avenue just south of Interstate 880.

Deputies found the victim lying lifeless on a speed bump halfway between Perkins Drive and Ginger Avenue.
