UNION CITY -- Police on Tuesday released the identities of two men gunned down over the weekend in a residential area of the city.
Daniel Garcia-Sanchez, 21, and Carlos Estrada-Partida, 18, were shot and killed early Sunday morning near the 33400 block of 11th Street, said police Cmdr. Ben Horner.
Both victims in the fatal double shooting were residents of the Decoto neighborhood in Union City, Horner said.
Residents in the area called police at 1:01 a.m. to report two men lying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
Garcia-Sanchez was pronounced dead at the scene. Estrada-Partida was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
As of Tuesday no arrests had been made and a motive was not known.
