SAN LEANDRO -- A 66-year-old bicyclist was hit and killed while trying to cross Marina Boulevard Wednesday morning, police said.

Officers responded to the 1000 block around 10:54 a.m. after reports of a traffic collision, said Lt. Jeff Tudor.

When officers arrived on scene they found the cyclist, who has not been identified, had been hit by a vehicle. Paramedics rushed the cyclist to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The crash is still under investigation and no arrests have been made.
