FREMONT -- A crash involving a big-rig truck shut down a Fremont thoroughfare for more than seven hours Monday, authorities said.
The driver of the 18-wheeler truck hit a fence on Fremont Boulevard and ended up in a large ditch around 10:45 a.m. Monday, police said. Fremont Boulevard was be closed in both directions at Delaware Drive until about 6:20 p.m. while crews worked to clean up a diesel spill caused by the crash, and then tow the truck out of the ditch, police said.
The male driver received a minor injury to his leg, according to police. No other cars were involved.
