LIVERMORE -- Police are searching for a man they say made off with more than $800 in a Livermore Citibank branch robbery Tuesday afternoon.

At 12:09 p.m., the man walked into the bank at 2150 Portola Ave. and waited in line before approaching the teller and handing them a note demanding cash, Officer Steve Goard said. The frightened teller handed the unarmed suspect more than $800 in cash and he then turned and ran out of the bank.

No one was injured in the incident, and no weapon was displayed, Gourd said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a light complexion, about 5 feet 4 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black and orange San Francisco Giants baseball cap, a black hooded San Francisco 49ers sweatshirt and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the suspect may contact the Livermore Police Department at 925-294-7531.
