LIVERMORE -- Police are searching for a man they say robbed a Livermore 7-11 store at gunpoint Sunday night.
The robbery occurred about 6 p.m. at the store at 1339 N. Vasco Road, where the suspect apparently wandered around until no other customers were inside, Livermore Police Officer Steve Goard said. When the man realized he was the only person in the store, he walked up to the counter and began talking to the clerk.
As the two were conversing, Goard said, the man walked around the counter and demanded the cash register's contents as he pulled out a handgun. The clerk, who was not hurt, gave the man his cash, a total of $150.
Police obtained three photos from the store surveillance camera of the man walking into the store, and described him as a Hispanic man in his early 20s. He stands about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, and was last seen wearing a blue patterned hoodie and a blue baseball cap with no logo.
Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to contact Livermore police at 925-294-7531. The investigation is ongoing.
