10 couples, both gay and straight, were married or renewed their vows during a mass wedding under cloudy skies at the BART Plaza on Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley, Calif., on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014. The weddings were performed by Berkeley City Council member Darryl Moore, Berkeley School Board member Judy Appel, and Berkeley Chamber CEO Polly Armstrong, all licensed officiates. DJ O Aces spun romantic tunes for the couple's first dance, and a drawing was held for an instant honeymoon prize.
