The following calls were among those handled by the Brentwood police April 13-18, according to information provided by the Police Department.
April 13 Drugs: At 8:55 a.m., a person on Balfour Road was found in possession of a usable amount of suspected methamphetamine. Petty Theft: At 11:58 a.m., it was reported that someone on Lone Tree Way had stolen 40 gallons of diesel fuel from a commercial vehicle. Grand Theft: At 3:25 p.m., it was reported that someone on Apple Hill Drive stole $3,000 from his grandfather's safe.
April 14 Burglary: At 6:42 p.m., a window was shattered on a vehicle on Cavendish Court, and medication and jewelry were missing. Suspicious circumstance: At 7:21 p.m., it was reported that a front door had been unlocked and opened on Au Brooks Court. There were no signs of forced entry and no items missing.
April 15 Robbery: At 8:16 p.m., seven unknown people surrounded someone on Griffith Lane, with one pushing the victim and another taking a scooter. Burglary: At 8:58 p.m., a break-in was reported on Lakeview Drive. Entry was made through a side window.
April 16 Fraud: At 7:41 p.m., it was reported that someone had impersonated the granddaughter of a resident on Jubilee Drive and requested funds via telephone. The person provided $2,500 to the caller. Commercial Burglary: At 9:43 p.m., it was reported that someone entered a locked storage yard and stole 15 wheels. The wheels, valued at $375, were recovered following a chase.
April 17 Assault: At 10:10 a.m., it was reported that someone on Central Boulevard threw a full soda can at a victim's face, causing injury and breaking his $800 glasses. Vandalism: At 11:35 a.m., it was reported that someone had carved graffiti in a bathroom stall at the Streets of Brentwood on Sand Creek Road. Injury Accident: At 3:56 p.m., a driver in a vehicle struck a bicyclist as he rode off the sidewalk without looking on Fairview Avenue. The bicyclist sustained cuts on his arm and torso, and his mom said she'd take him to medical care. Robbery: At 9:29 p.m., two people were approached in front of a home on Essex Drive by someone with a handgun. One victim had her purse stolen, and the second was battered and had his cell phone taken.
April 18 Hit and Run: At 2:32 a.m., a woman crashed her vehicle on Second Street into a curb. She fled the scene before police arrived.
-- Paul Burgarino Petty Theft: At 1:34 p.m., someone stole a $230 skateboard from a business on Second Street. Burglary: At 9:36 p.m., it was reported that the driver's side and rear windows of a car on Lone Tree Way were smashed and a laptop bag was stolen.
