ANTIOCH -- One person was hospitalized after gunfire broke out on an Antioch street near the Somersville Towne Center on Monday morning.

Police officers responding to Hudson Court and Fairview Avenue at 11:46 a.m. found a man shot. He was treated at the scene and later taken to a hospital with serious but non-life threatening gunshot wounds, police said.

Witnesses reported hearing five or six shots and seeing a dark-colored car drive south on Fairview Avenue toward Somersville Road.

No arrests were made.
