PITTSBURG -- A two-alarm fire destroyed a unit at a Pittsburg condominium complex Monday, authorities said.

The blaze at 52 Meadowbrook Ave. was reported at 5:32 p.m., said Contra Costa Fire Protection District Capt. Robert Marshall.

When crews arrived, flames were shooting from the first and second floor of a residence, Marshall said. Firefighters had the blaze under control by 6:24 p.m.

The residence was completely destroyed, and a neighboring unit had minor damage, Marshall said.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
