RICHMOND -- An open house to present and discuss the 2016 Clean Air Plan and Regional Climate Protection Strategy to the public will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 4 at the East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, 339 11th St.
The meeting is one of six being held by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District to publicize and get feedback about the plan.
"Participants can view displays, speak with air district staff, ask questions, and offer comments on draft measures for the New Source Review of Toxic Air Contaminants," a new program addressing for stationary sources of toxic air emissions, according to the BAAQMD.
"The Clean Air Plan update will include the Bay Area's first comprehensive climate protection strategy, which will identify potential rules, control measures and strategies that the Air District can pursue to reduce greenhouse gases," county Supervisor John Gioia said in an announcement.
Upcoming open houses in the East Bay will be held in Dublin/Pleasanton 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Sheraton Pleasanton, 5990 Stoneridge Mall Road; and in Oakland from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Laney College Bistro, 900 Fallon St.
