A San Francisco bike company is remaking itself as a leader in the green motor biking revolution.
A2B, the e-bike brand formerly owned by Ultra Motor, launched a new line of electric bikes this week at the company's San Francisco headquarters on Ninth Street. The six models of e-bikes run on built-in lithium-ion batteries, which can be charged like a smartphone or laptop, and also have pedals to help riders control their speed. A2B bikes is part of India-based Hero Eco, a $5 billion global enterprise that makes environmentally friendly scooters and other two-wheelers. A2B e-bikes are sold at dealers across the Bay Area, including Electric Bicycle Outlet and Blazing Saddles in San Francisco.
