Two South Bay shopping destinations will hold craft beer tasting events that will highlight local merchants, raise money for a local nonprofit and celebrate the booming Bay Area craft beer culture.
Santana Row, the luxury outdoor shopping center in San Jose, will host a Beerwalk on Aug. 28 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Brews to sample will be provided by Speakeasy, Anchor Brewing Company, Laguinitas Brewing Company, Sierra Nevada, Santa Cruz Ale Works, New Belgium, Almanac Beer Company, Devil's Canyon Brewing Company and many more craft breweries.
Downtown Willow Glen will host a Halloween-themed Beerwalk on Oct. 26. from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Shops, art galleries and restaurants along Lincoln Avenue will join the event to celebrate local brewmasters and small business owners.
Advanced tickets can be purchased for $30 at www.thebeerwalk.com. Day-of tickets will sell for $35. Proceeds benefit the Bay Brewers Guild, a nonprofit that promotes local breweries and the craft of brewing.
