OAKLAND -- Bay Area film enthusiasts will have the opportunity on Friday evening to view original films produced by employees of Pixar Animation Studios, the Emeryville movie production company.
The third annual Behind the Pixar Screen will feature short films shown on a 100-foot canvas known as The Great Wall. The screen faces West Grand Avenue between Broadway and Valley Street. The films will play repeatedly from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and showcase works created by employees at Pixar in their spare time in between working on movies for the big screen.
The free screening is part of the city's monthly Art Murmur event. The Great Wall of Oakland is a collaboration of Bay Area organizations dedicated to supporting independent video art.
