MARTINEZ -- Antioch's effort to cast a net out to find a new restaurateur for a waterfront property it owns no longer has any legal entanglements.
A Contra Costa Superior Court judge this week granted the city's request for title action, affirming Antioch is the sole owner of the property on One Marina Blvd.
The court action allows Antioch to proceed with re-leasing the building to a new operator, City Attorney Lynn Tracy Nerland said.
There were no appearances by any of the defendants Antioch named in a March suit as possibly having legal claim to a lease on the property, according to the court ruling.
Antioch released a proposal request earlier this month for someone with experience to lease and renovate the 12,432 square foot former Humphrey's on the Delta restaurant.
Bids for the project are due by 2 p.m. Aug. 19, with a walk-through set for Aug. 7.
