Stanford senior left guard David Yankey is among four Cardinal football players named to the Associated Press 2013 All-America team.

Yankey was a first-team selection. Linebacker Trent Murphy and kick returner Ty Montgomery were on the second team and linebacker Shayne Skov was on the third team.

Yankey, a consensus All-American in 2012, leads a Stanford offensive line ranked fourth nationally for fewest tackles for loss allowed per game (3.69) and 16th for fewest sacks allowed per game (1.15).

Murphy, a fifth-year senior outside linebacker, leads the nation in sacks with 14 and is sixth in tackles for loss per game with 1.7. His 211/2 tackles for loss are third. Murphy also has 58 tackles, one interception returned 30 yards for a touchdown, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one blocked kick.

Montgomery, a junior wide receiver and kick returner, was an all-purpose selection, He led the nation in kickoff returns, averaging 31.2 yards. He returned two kickoffs for touchdowns: a 99-yarder on the opening kickoff against Washington and a 100-yarder at Utah. As a receiver, Montgomery had 58 catches for 937 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is ninth nationally in all-purpose yards with 161.0 per game.

Skov, a senior, led the Pac-12 Conference in tackles with 100, including 56 solo. He had 10 tackles for a loss, 41/2 sacks, two forced fumbles and two recoveries.
