BERKELEY -- Cal confirmed Wednesday morning that offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Jim Michalczik has been let go, meaning that all five holdover assistant coaches are out as new head football coach Sonny Dykes begins assembling his staff.

Michalczik, Ron Gould, Ashley Ambrose, Wes Chandler and Marcus Arroyo initially were retained for the transition period after head coach Jeff Tedford was fired Nov. 20.

Dykes, hired last week, already has brought on two offensive aides from his staff at Louisiana Tech -- offensive coordinator Tony Franklin and assistant head coach/wide receivers assistant Rob Likens.
