Cal's Michael Weaver will play with 1982 champion Craig Stadler and Ben Curtis with Masters pairings and tee times for the first two rounds announced Tuesday.
The threesome tees off from the first hole starting at 8:18 a.m. PDT on Thursday and 5:11 a.m. PDT on Friday. The next set of pairings and tee times for Saturday's third round will be announced after the cut following the completion of second-round action Friday.
Weaver has spent the past three days at Augusta National Golf Club playing practice rounds with pros Luke Donald, Jason Dufner, fellow Fresno native Nick Watney and Fuzzy Zoeller, as well as fellow amateur Nathan Smith.
"The pros have been very good to all the amateurs," Weaver said. "It's been great. I thought it would be awesome, and it definitely has exceeded everything I thought it would be."
Weaver plans to play nine holes of a practice round Wednesday morning before participating in the annual Par 3 Contest that begins at 9:30 a.m. PDT. Weaver tees off at 10:52 a.m. ESPN and Masters.com will televise the event live from noon-2 p.m.
Weaver is a junior on the No. 1-ranked Cal men's golf team and the first Cal golfer to play at the Masters while a current member of the team. Former Cal receiver Keenan Allen held his own Pro Day for approximately 30 NFL scouts at Proehlific Park on Tuesday in Greensboro, N.C. According to NFL.com, Allen was clocked by Mike Mayock of the NFL Network in 4.71 and 4.75 seconds in two 40-yard dashes. Allen had not tested at either the NFL combine or Cal's Pro Day due to a knee injury he suffered during the 2012 season and reinjured in January while training for the combine. Allen recently told the Sacramento Bee that he's only about 85 percent back. Senior Mac McClung fired a career-low 65 to help the Saint Mary's golf team overcome a poor first round to finish in a third-place tie at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. McClung, a senior from Fremont, joined teammate Jonathan De Los Reyes in a tie for runner-up honors with a 36-hole total of even-par 140. Cal senior Christoffer Konigsfeldt won the Pac-12 men's tennis player of the week award for the week of April 1-7. Konigsfeldt clinched both of the Bears' wins this past week against then-No. 44 Oregon and then-No. 30 Washington. Saint Mary's tennis player Jenny Jullien was named West Coast Conference singles player of the month for the third consecutive month. The native of Perpignan, France, went 6-2 in March, rising to No. 17 in the ITA national rankings. Megan Burton, a volunteer assistant coach at Saint Mary's the past two seasons, has been named San Jose State assistant women's volleyball coach.
