In 100 words or less, please explain why you are running for this office: We must make Ontario solvent and strong in the long run by achieving the same value from public safety as other cities. The current pension formulas are not sustainable, yet the incumbents recently voted to continue them for two more years, which will indebt the City for years to come. At the same time, the Council passed a budget that spends more than it will collect in revenue. Additionally, I will see that no longer will major proposals such as using eminent domain to seize private property and the purchase an international airport be formulated in a shroud of secrecy.

I am running for the office of Councilmember for the City of Ontario because I believe that the citizens of Ontario deserve to have elected officials that are actually available to discuss civic issues when citizens go to City Hall. Elected officials with regular office hours that are proud to serve, not afraid of their citizen employers, nor too avaricious to make public service their full time job. I don't care that Councilmembers make less than the city employees they oversee. Elected public service is an honor, not to be betrayed, not to be scorned and not to be shunned.

I'll stand up for what is right, even in the shadow of doubt, created by "political correctness." I'm an independent thinker who understands we need to attract small businesses back to Ontario.
