WATSONVILLE -- Police were dispatched to Watsonville Community Hospital just before 10 p.m. for reports of a gunshot wound.
A 17-year-old male had suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound but he was not cooperative with officers, police said, nor was his 18-year-old cousin. The victim was transferred to a Bay Area hospital for treatment.
The shooting is believed to have occurred in the area of the 20 block of Beach Street. Watsonville police officers are seeking the public's help in locating a car possibly connected to the shooting. The vehicle, which belongs to the victim's family, was used to bring him to the hospital. It's a gray 2001 Honda Civic four-door with a California license plate of 6GLD637.
