LAGUNA BEACH - A Hawthorne man arrested on suspicion of dealing in ecstasy, pain pills and pot in the Laguna Beach area was behind bars today.
Laguna Beach police, working with Hawthorne police and agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration, arrested Kevin Odell Lott, 42, of Hawthorne on Friday and raided two Hawthorne homes, seizing the designer drug ecstasy, thousands of pain pills, some pot and several vehicles, according to Laguna police Capt. Jason Kravetz.
In addition to the drugs, authorities seized $140,000 in cash, a Mercedes-Benz S550 valued at $80,000, a Chevrolet Tahoe valued at $40,000, a Mercedes-Benz R-Class SUV valued at $40,000, a Dodge Charger valued at $35,000 and two handguns.
Kravetz said the cars were seized because investigators believe they bought with proceeds from interstate drug sales.
Lott and his associates, according to authorities, sold drugs in Laguna Beach. He was booked in Hawthorne on suspicion of possession illegal drugs and being a felon with a firearm.
