The Southern California Auto Extrication Academy, which trains local firefighters for rescues, needs some cars for practice.
Firefighters from Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach and El Segundo will attend the training training Dec. 4-6 in Anaheim.
The academy has teamed with 1-800-GOT-SCRAP to collect cards from the public. Donors will receive $150 to $250, plus $50 will be given to a firefighter-related charity.
Cars will be used for firefighter training to remove passengers from cars in major crashes.
The academy will be hosted by the Anaheim Fire Department and the North Net Fire Training Center in Anaheim.
