About 1,500 people attended Monday's dedication of the La Verne Veterans Memorial and recognition of all military veterans.

The program featured Lawrence Gonzales, operations undersecretary for the California Department of Veterans Affairs; Navy Lt. Shawn Harden of La Verne; and student JROTC cadets, Bonita High Chamber Singers and city of La Verne officials.
