14-year-old boy shot in hand
A 14-year-old boy was shot in the hand outside an apartment complex on Orchard Street and Del Monte Avenue about 7:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.
Police said the boy was standing in front of the complex when a dark-colored Honda drove by and someone shot at him.
The incident is considered gang-related.

Man injured in hit-and-run
A 47-year-old man was injured by a hit-and-run driver at Fremont Boulevard and Sonoma Avenue about 6 p.m. Thursday, firefighters said.
The man was airlifted to a San Jose hospital with unknown internal injuries.
SALINAS
Three teenagers arrested in burglary
Three teenagers were arrested in a residential burglary that set off an alarm in the 12900 block of Arthur Street about 9:20 a.m. Thursday, police said.
Two juveniles were seen leaving the residence through a window and the third acted as a lookout, police said. Two of them were cited and released to their parents. One was lodged into Juvenile Hall.
The two 16-year-olds and a 14-year-old face charges of conspiracy and residential burglary.
SALINAS
South Salinas robber strikes at Radio Shack
A clerk at a Radio Shack store in South Salinas was held up at knifepoint by a robber late Wednesday, Salinas police said.
A man approached an employee at a counter, pulled out a knife and ordered the employee to open the cash register, police said.
The robbery
The robber wore a black hoodie, bluejeans and a black T-shirt over his face, police said. He took an undisclosed amount of cash.
