Pizza man robbed at gunpoint
A pizza delivery driver was robbed by a gunman when he returned to the restaurant late Tuesday, Salinas police reported.
The driver had just parked in front of Domino's Pizza, 1101 N. Main. St., about 9:30 p.m. when a man struck him in the forehead with the butt of a handgun, police said.
The driver handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the robber ran away on North Main Street, police said.
Gunman carjacks Honda on Main Street
A Salinas man had his 2009 Honda Civic stolen at gunpoint Tuesday in a North Main Street apartment complex, police said.
The victim sat down in his car shortly before 7 p.m. when a man with a gun approached, ordered him out and took the keys.
Two other people got in the car with the gunman, and they drove off on North Main Street.
The apartment complex is in the 2300 block of North Main, police said.

A 26-year-old Carmel man will spend Thanksgiving at the Monterey County Jail after police arrested him Wednesday in connection with a burglary.
Charles J. Gopi is suspected of stealing clothing and electronics on Nov. 11 from a home near the corner of Santa Rita Street and Fourth Avenue, said Carmel Police Detective Rachelle Lightfoot.
Police traced the crime to Gopi through goods he sold at a pawn shop in Seaside, police said.
Gopi, of the 300 block of Santa Rita Street, will be arraigned on charges of burglary and possession of stolen property Friday at the earliest, Lightfoot said.
