POMONA -- "Journey to Bethlehem," a holiday program at Pomona First Baptist Church, offers a glimpse into what life may have been like over 2000 years ago in Israel.

The program will be Dec. 7 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Dec. 8 and 9 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Visitors can sign the census, avoid the Roman soldiers, interact with the potter, weaver, carpenter and other merchants. Spend some shekels, visit the animals, and make your way under the giant star to visit baby Jesus. Entrance and parking are free.

Food is available for purchase at the Bethlehem eatery (lentil stew, beef kabobs, and citrus punch).
