Manhattan Beach police on Tuesday asked for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of holding a cellphone under a woman's skirt this summer and fleeing.
The incident happened about 4 p.m. Aug. 19 at a Chevron gas station store at 3633 N. Sepulveda Blvd.
The victim saw a flash go off while the phone was pointed under her clothing, police said. The suspect then ran out of the store without buying anything and got into a white Honda Accord that headed southbound on Sepulveda.
Officer Stephanie Martin, a department spokeswoman, said detectives decided to turn to the public for help in hopes of finding new leads.
The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt and black shorts.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective M. Allard at firstname.lastname@example.org or 310-802-5125
