SCOTTS VALLEY - Scotts Valley police arrested a man this week after investigating reports that he'd had sex with a girl under the age of 14.
Police began an investigation after receiving a report from Child Protective Services Wednesday.
Thursday, police arrested Corey Nevin Marshall, 48, on suspicion of sex with a minor, aggravated sexual assault on a minor under 14 and child molestation. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail, said Lt. John Hohmann. No further details of the incident have been released.
Marshall is a registered sex offender with prior convictions for rape and child molestation, according to state records. He is listed as being a transient.
