A Saugus woman was arrested for stealing UPS and Fed-Ex packages from front porches in the area, the Sheriff's Santa Clarita Valley Station reported Tuesday.
Mariola Gorak-Doughlin, 58, was arrested at her home in the 21800 block of Maged Court, authorities said.
Since early December, residents reported that packages delivered and left on their porches had been stolen. A witness reported seeing a woman taking packages from a neighbor's porch, the sheriff's department said in a statement.
Detectives served a search warrant at Gorak-Doughlin's home and found several pieces of property allegedly stolen from five separate victims, the department said.
She was booked at Santa Clarita Valley Station with a bail of $20,000.
Authorities recommend trying to be at home when deliveries are expected, or have the package sent to a relative or neighbor who will be home.
