REDONDO BEACH — A Redondo Beach man has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge stemming from an allegedly alcohol-related crash that killed a woman in Hawthorne, authorities said Wednesday.

Ryan Mascioni, 21, was charged Tuesday with felony counts of murder, leaving the scene of an accident, gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and driving under the influence causing injury.

Mascioni entered his plea Tuesday at the Airport Courthouse. He was held in county jail on $1 million bail.

Mascioni is charged with killing Raquel Coaker, 26, of Los Angeles as she crossed Hawthorne Boulevard in front of the 352 Club at 13126 Hawthorne Blvd. on Dec. 14. Coaker was attending a party and crossed the street to put something in her car, police said.

The driver of an Audi hit her and two parked cars before speeding away. Mascioni turned himself in at the Lawndale sheriff's center about an hour later.
