Casa Munras Hotel gets new owner

The Casa Munras Hotel, 700 Munras Ave., was sold to the Cannery Row Co. on Wednesday.

"We're thrilled," Ted Balestreri, CEO and chairman of Cannery Row Co., said.

Balestreri said they will keep the hotel open throughout what he called a "smooth transition."

He said some top management from its previous owner, Larkspur Hotels & Restaurants, will probably leave, but more than 90 percent of employees will stay.
