The tour is included with paid museum admission.
"Join me to explore documents, ephemera, and related artifacts, and discover how these seemingly inconsequential 'scraps of paper' can help us understand more about the past," said Nielsen.
"And we'll try out techniques used in the past to write a letter and make a graphic design to take home or leave in our 'Read the Handwriting on the Wall' mini gallery."
The museum is at the California Street exit from the 10 Freeway. General admission is $8 (adult), $6 (military or senior), $5 (student), and $4 (child aged 5 to 12). Children under 5 and Museum Association members are admitted free.
