WEST HILLS - Two elderly motorists were injured late Monday when their pickup truck tipped over in West Hills, Los Angeles firefighters said.
An 83-year-old man was driving with a 70-year-old woman when their Toyota pickup with a camper shell toppled about 7:30 p.m. in the 22400 block of Victory Boulevard, west of Shoup Avenue, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said. It was unclear why the single-vehicle accident occurred.
It took firefighters 15 minutes to free them from the vehicle, he said. The unidentified motorists sustained minor injuries and were taken to Northridge Hospital and Medical Center.
