The 71 Freeway and part of the 60 Freeway in Pomona is closed due to a crash involving a jackknifed tractor trailer.

The California Highway Patrol closed the 71 shortly before 10 a.m. just north of Old Pomona Road. They issued a Sig Alert, which is expected to last until at least 11 a.m., said CHP Officer Kerri Rivas.

The transition road from the westbound 60 to the northbound 71 has also been closed.

The 9:06 a.m. crash involved a sport-utility vehicle and a semi truck on the 71 near Old Pomona Road, Rivas said.

One person suffered major injuries and was flown to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center for treatment.
