The Monterey Peninsula Volunteer Society awarded grants to the following: Food Bank For Monterey County, $6,000; Salvation Army, $4,500; Alzheimer's Association, $3,000; Rice Project, $2,000; Seaside Aquatic Club, $1,000; St. Vincent DePaul Pantry, Arts Habitat, Los Arboles Middle School, $500 each.

The Interfaith Outreach of Carmel awarded grants to the following: Franciscan Workers Women Alive! program $5,000; Housing Resource Center, $5,000; Hamilton House, $5,000; Catholic Charities, $5,000; Community Human Services, Elm House, Interim, Inc., $2,500 each.

Gateway Center of Monterey County Inc. has been awarded a $2,500 grant from the Community Giving Fund.

The Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice has received the following grants: $18,000 from the Joseph and Vera Long Foundation and $60,000 from the Monterey Peninsula Foundation

ARIEL Theatrical has received an award of $10,000 from the Ruth L. and Wilbur K. Amonette Fund, the Patricia J. Boles Fund and the Mary Jane Drummond Fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County.
