HIGHLAND - Police arrested a Highland man Thursday in connection to a San Bernardino New Year's Eve fatal shooting of a Victorville man.
Steve Alfred Villalobos, 20, of Highland, was taken into custody at his mother's home in the 27000 block of Rustic Lane, according to booking records.
He was arrested on suspicion of murder.
The shooting took place at about 11 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of West 28th Street in San Bernardino.
Jason Kenneth Anderson, a 39-year-old Victorville resident, died of gunshot wounds to his upper body, according to coroner's officials.
Three others hit by gunfire were taken to hospitals.
Anderson and several others were shot at a house party celebrating New Year's Eve, according to police.
Villalobos reportedly fled the scene after the gunshots rang out.
The case will be reviewed next week by the District Attorney's Office for possible criminal prosecution.
Villalobos was booked into the Central Detention Center in downtown San Bernardino.
