Los Angeles city officials will hold a program Tuesday to discuss Los Angeles International Airport modernization plans.
The Department of City Planning will accept public comments on plans to reconfigure the north runway by moving it 260 feet, build a new automated people mover, construct a consolidated rental car facility and connect Metro trains with the airport. After the meeting, the planning department will produce a report for consideration by the city Planning Commission, and, eventually, by the City Council and mayor.
The open house will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at The Proud Bird Restaurant, 11022 Aviation Blvd., Westchester. It will be followed by a community meeting.
