Supervisor Jane Parker is inviting all Monterey County District 4 graduating seniors to apply for the "Jane Parker Instigator of Excellence Scholarship."

Candidates must reside within the District 4 supervisorial boundary which includes incorporated cities of Del Rey Oaks, Marina, Sand City, Seaside, a portion of southwest Salinas and unincorporated portions of Marina, Seaside and Salinas, encompassing much of the Fort Ord.

Students planning to pursue careers as farmers, ranchers or other agricultural occupations may apply for 2013 California Farm Bureau Scholarship Foundation scholarships.

March 1 is the submission deadline.

An open house will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the International School of Monterey, 1720 Yosemite St., Seaside.

The school offers an internationally based academic program for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
