The seven people were in the mall's food court at the time, said Assistant Fire Chief Art Andres. All were taken to a hospital with minor abrasions, Andres said.
"We are thoroughly investigating this matter as we remain committed to the safety of our shoppers, retailers and employees," said Marc Smith, the mall's general manager.
Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the mall shortly before 2 p.m., Andres said.
Three Fire Department vehicles and five ambulances responded, he said.
The seven people, whose names were not available, were apparently eating together, Andres said.
It is unclear if the victims were related, but "it appears they were all together," he said.
