Two gunmen rob pizza parlor

Two men armed with semi-automatic handguns robbed the Little Caesars pizza parlor, 45 S. Sanborn Road Monday, Salinas police reported.

The pair entered the business about 1:30 p.m. and demanded money from one of the cash registers. After they received an undisclosed amount of cash, the robbers ordered employees to leave the business and walk away for 10 minutes before returning, police said.

The gunmen then fled to a tan, older model car, in which a third person was waiting behind the wheel. The car drove away north on Sanborn Road.

The pizza parlor employees called police after a few minutes of leaving the business, police said.
