The pursuit ended at Imperial Highway and Valley View Boulevard in La Mirada, where the U-Haul crashed into another vehicle.

Prouty allegedly attempted to flee the scene, police said, but officers soon caught him and took him into custody.

The heavy-duty U-Haul truck slammed into a Chevrolet SUV, injuring its driver. The extent of the injuries were not immediately reported.
