SAN BERNARDINO -- A 32-year-old San Bernardino man was killed Saturday night after he was struck several times by passing vehicles near Fisher Street and Del Rosa Road, officials said.

Rashashee Carl Edwards was pronounced at 9:18 p.m. after being struck by at least two vehicles, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner's website.

Sheriff's deputies and California Highway Patrol officers were called out the the intersection of Fisher Street and Del Rosa Road just after 9 p.m. for a man lying in the roadway, according to coroner's officials. Both drivers who had struck Edwards remained at the scene.

It's unclear why Edwards was in the roadway in the first place.

CHP officials will be investigating the incident. An autopsy will be conducted.
